On 29 July 2023, over 90 youths from Madrasah Al-Maarif & Madrasah Al-Arabiah Al-Islamiah were in attendance during MENDAKI Club's ExplorePATHWAYS programme. Adapted from the ExploreCAREERS Workshop series, the following programme was designed to empower upper secondary Madrasah students in self-growth and career planning by providing resource and social networks. The workshop aims to drive Madrasah students to seek and explore their aspirations and career options.
Students were able to reflect on their strengths and the types of careers they have envisioned for themselves as well as ways to overcome any perceived barriers as a Madrasah student. The facilitators involved during the programme were also from a Madrasah background themselves and they shared about their personal pathways, what they've learnt and faced as a Madrasah students themselves back then. The students were better able to relate to their experiences and thoroughly enjoyed the session.
