Yuli Ardini takes over as MClub President from Danial Hakim
Mendaki Club (MClub) now has a new executive committee (Exco) comprising 13 young professionals from diverse backgrounds following the club’s 26th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 7 March.
The 12th Exco features Ms Yuli Ardini Affandi as the new MClub President, taking over from Mr Danial Hakim, while being supported by two new Vice Presidents – Ms Azfarihin Aziz and Mr Nur Hakim Nor Halim.
Commenting on the focus of the new committee, Ms Yuli said the 12th Exco will focus on ensuring that MClub’s programmes continue to have a meaningful impact on the community while ensuring that it remains purposeful and prepared for future challenges and needs.
“We are committed to nurturing today’s volunteers into future leaders of the Malay/Muslim community through leadership development and networking opportunities,” said Ms Yuli.
“We also want to streamline our operations with clearer SOPs (standard operating procedures) and stronger knowledge management, as well as delivering youth programmes with clear objectives and measurable outcomes.”
In her day job, Ms Yuli is a Senior Development Partner at Enterprise Singapore (EnterpriseSG), supporting local enterprises in productivity, internationalisation and workforce development. Since joining EnterpriseSG in 2021, she has spearheaded several key initiatives including the launch of Singapulah – the first Singapore-themed restaurant concept in London – and international trade across Europe.
An active leader in MClub, Ms Yuli holds a Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology) from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and previously served as a member of MClub’s Exco and as the club’s director of volunteer management.
The two new MClub vice-presidents will continue to support the club’s efforts to strengthen youth development and community building through meaningful programmes, partnerships and accessible platforms for growth.
Ms Azfarihin, who is based at the Ministry of Education (MOE) in a transformation, analysis and planning role, was previously involved in the direction and implementation of MClub’s mGirl programme and MARA Mentoring programme.
Mr. Nur Hakim, who works at the intersection of business strategy and the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) industry, previously directed the MARA Mentoring program, which aims to expand youth and young professionals’ access to mentoring, career exposure and practical guidance.
Commenting on the new changes to the club, Mr. Danial Hakim, who has retired as MClub President, said it was an honour to serve alongside a dedicated team committed to improving the community.
“Over the past term, we have strengthened the foundations of MClub and sharpened our focus on impact.
“I am confident that under Yuli’s leadership, the 12th Exco will build on this momentum and take MClub to greater heights,” said Mr. Danial.

The new Exco also features Mr. Muhammad Faris Azzli as Secretary and Mr. Mohamad Saddiq Mohamad Sa’id as Treasurer.
The Assistant Secretary position is held by Ms. Siti Nurdzafirah Zainal, while Mr. Muhammad Zulkarnain Azman has been appointed as Assistant Treasurer.
Other committee members who complete this leadership line-up include Mr. Mohamed Mikhail Kennerley, Mr. Zulhilmi Zainal, Ms. Aleena Mansoor, Ms. Nurin Nazurah Saifudin, Ms. Siti Nurhazirah Othman, and Ms. Farah Liyana Normal.
During the previous 11th Exco term, MClub’s programmes have benefited around 9,000 beneficiaries and youth participants – about 15 percent more than in the previous three years, according to MClub in a statement.
The number of volunteers has also been adjusted to approximately 300 mentors, organizers and ad hoc volunteers per year, from over 400 per year in 2021 and 2022 to ensure the sustainability of the volunteer pool without compromising scale and quality. https://www.beritaharian.sg/singapura/13-karyawan-muda-terajui-kepimpinan-penggal-baru-kelab-mendaki
