Message from Mendaki Club's President to Graduates' Tea 09 participants
Dear Graduates,
I remember the first time I was called that - a "graduate". I remember the thrill the term brought, its connotations of new beginnings and new horizons. I felt on top of the world and ready to take on whatever challenges it had for me. There was a sense of achievement too, of course, of having grown from the learning and understanding that tertiary education brings.
I hope your graduation has brought some similar excitement. I was fortunate to graduate at a time that was less difficult for the global economy, and I know that many of you will feel that you face several challenges now. Many of these are significant, but can in fact be dealt with if you have the right aptitudes and attitudes.
That's partly what the upcoming Graduates' Tea is about. We hope it will be a time to celebrate your achievements as graduates, as well as to help you "polish" your inner diamond and navigate the increasingly complex world we live in. It will be an afternoon of networking with other fresh graduates, and sharing experiences with young professionals who are a bit more established in their fields.
The details of the day's programme can be found here. We hope you will find it a valuable and useful time. Do feel free to contact me or any of the organisers if we can provide you with any further information.
Salams,
Aaron
President, Mendaki Club
